topic posted Sat, October 6, 2007 - 1:37 PM by  Simona JOVIC
My dear friends,

I am leaving in a few days to a rroma village in south of the Balkans where I will spend some time. It is a very joyfull village, where young rroma sing and dance but unfortunately live poorly. So if you have anything that I could take there for children, clothes, medicins, toys, cosmetics, school needs or anything else, please contact me as
soon as possible.

Thank you in advance,

Hi, here in France the new Sarkosy government has razed gypsy camps in and outside of Paris, and we are just overwhelmed can't send anything, as we need it all, for winter is coming. I am sure you are aware of this grave situation. I could hook you up with people here who are working with this.Their condition is no village, no home, no singing.
    best wishes,

      Dear Jody,

Thank you for sharing this with us. (Vous parlez français je suppose???) I know that the Sarkozy governement made things much worst then they were. My organization is based in France where we help a lot of Rroma. But it's difficult of course to help everyone and to know about the situation of all of them. So yes, I would love to get in touch with people working with those Rroma near Paris.

      Thank you in advance.

        Dear friends,

Many of you responded to our demand, so we could make happy a lot of rroma children and families in the Balkans. Thank you for that!

In a few weeks, i am going to India, where I will be meeting nomad kalbeliya families. This time, we would need clothes for children, especially very small children. So please, if you have anything to give, we would be happy to take it to India. I will be in Paris until January 9th, so for those who live in Paris, somebody from the Organization would come to pick up the staff. And for the others, there is a possibility to send it.

I wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
